Well, its been a while since I submitted info about my mystery ancestor....so, here goes. I know that my g-g-grandfather Gilbert Greene was born 12 February 1824, in Hawkins County, TN. He died 23 July 1894, in rural Piatt County, IL. In 1844, he married Martha Ann Ramsey in Scott County, KY. Martha was the daughter of William Ramsey and Mary "Polly" Henley Burdette. Gilbert and Martha lived out their married lives in Piatt County, just south of Bement. Every day, I look at the information that you all pass back and forth, and tell myself, that these folks could be related to Gilbert. Unfortunately, I know nothing about his ancestory, so have to watch all this great information as it goes on. Any suggestions you may have will be greatly appreciated.
