Hi Tom and other Green(e), researchers: I'm interested in your William Green line. My ggg-grandfather was John T. Greene (spelled with and without the "e"). He was born in 1821, GA (according to the 1950 Clark Co., AR census.) He died in 1883, Clark Co., AR and his obituary says he arrived in Clark Co. in 1838. His wife was Lucy (or Martha Lucy) Jordan. John had a brother named Peter. I don't have a birth date for him, but there is eveidence that he fought in the Civil War and died in 1909. He founded the Mountain Springs Water Co. in Garland Co., AR. Their mother's name was Nancy. I don't have a maiden name for her. She is supposed to have been born in VA. Does any of this fit in with your Green notes? Stacy King king@mobiletel.com TBGreen3@aol.com wrote: > 3. William Mercer Green, born about 1786 in Burke County, NC.
