Henry Howland married Mary Newland of Lynn, Massachusetts. They had four sons: Zoeth, who was killed by Indians and whose descendents accumulated a great fortune in land and whaling and which was later famed as the Hetty Green fortune; John; Joseph; Samuel, whose son Joshua married Dorothy Lee. They were the parents of Isaac Howland who married Katherine Howard and who begat Roba who married Henry Edminster.
