Hi Carrie and all, I have a copy of the Jesse Mercer GREEN document as well. He is incorrect in his statement about Gen. GREEN. You can find his correct lineage at the website of Tiffany NASH... http://www.mindspring.com/~tnash/ I have visited the Amos GREEN cemetery in Cherokee County GA, it is in the wooods near Ball Ground. Here is who's there... These are some cemeteries I indexed several years ago. It is near the city of Ball Ground in Cherokee Co., GA about a mile into the woods off Flatbottom Trail. It is on one of the highest hills around and overlooks the Etowah River. We've always called it the Jesse GREEN Cemetery. These GREENs are descendents of the William GREEN and Joanna REEDER line. Please refer to Tiffany Nash's web site for details... www.mindspring.com/~tnash/Surname/names3.htm#GREEN I didn't find the long lost relative I'd hoped to find but I did write down everyone there... Also there appears to be another burial site nearby. These are very old rock piles laid out in human proportions. About 8 - 10 of these. Would these be Indian or very early settlers? There are some small earthen mounds in the same area. My family has spent about 25 years trying to connect our Ball Ground GREENS to the Jesse line and have finally determined there is none. I have a William GREEN who seems to have come from no known GREEN line...
