Hi -- The name Jehiel is interesting ... I just discovered that Charles Green and Tirzah Adams Green of Hope/Knowlton Township, Warren Co., N.J., had living with them in the 1850 census a boy named Jehiel, aged 20. I suspect he was their son because, according to researchers of the New Jersey Samuel Thomas Green, Charles and his wife had eight children. Matilda Green, who married Jacob Brands, was one of them. Her eldest grandson was named Jehiel Brands. The 1850 census says Charles Green, 67, farmer, owned property valued at $5,000. His wife, Tirzah, was 49. Also living in the household were Matilda Brands, 29, Jehiel Green, 20, Margaret Green, 12, and Hulda Green, 10. If anyone knows more, let me know. I'm particularly interested in finding out who Tirzah's parents were. Sandy
