Hi Group, I have been looking for the connection between these two Green lines for some time, and just read on page 82 & 83 of Volume 35 of the Virginia Historical Magazine one way that they were connected. Abraham Armstead Green, the son of Abraham and Martha Armstead Green, was married to Eliza Aubion Cocke, who was the daughter of James Powell Cocke and Polly Lewis. James Powell Cocke was the son of Chastain Cocke and his wife Judith Archer, and his brother, also named James Powell Cocke, who was married to Martha Archer, had a daughter named Martha Cocke who married Major Moses Green Peyton, who was the son of Julia Amanda Green and General Bernard Peyton. Julia Amanda Green was the daughter of Moses Green and Fanny Richards, and Moses Green was the son of Col. John Green and Susannah Blackwell. And finally, Col. John Green was the son of Robert Green born 1695. I was looking for a connection between the two families in the early 1600's, but you take what you can find! Hope this helps someone. Tom Green
