Hi Bill, You sent me a message some time ago asking about the identity of this Thomas Green since he is reported to have served as an officer at the Battle of Monmouth. I have not attempted to locate the military record of this Thomas Green, but the idea is good, and might give some info on the family. If you find anything please let me know. I have wanted for years to connect the family of General Tom Green of Texas with the Seagull Green family, but have not done so to date. Just in case you did not know, the sons of Robert Green, born 1695, also fought in many of the same battles of the American Revolution, so you may find the name of John Green, one of Robert Green's sons in the military records.
