Hi Rob -- I know the chances of a connection are remote, but I too have a mysterious "Ella M." GREEN. I have a gggfather Marvel GREEN who married three times, and in his 1860 Census record (St. Francois County, MO) he is paired with an "Ella M" age 44. Because the presumed death date of his first wife and marriage date of his second are unknown, it is not known how many of Marvel's children were by Ella M. Possibilities include a Sarah L GREEN b.1852 in Indiana and a Martha S. GREEN b. 1854 in Indiana, although a James W. GREEN b.1859 in Missouri is the only definate. By 1870 Marvel has married his third wife, and the only child of his still living with him is James W. GREEN. Because no marriage or death dates are known, I suppose it is possible that the "Ella M" listed with Marvel in the 1860 census had another child with him (or more) and then for whatever reason left him and took the younger child(ren) with her when she went. I only suggest this possibility because you seem to have hit a brick wall otherwise. Emily >From: "largo" <largo@ptinet.net> >To: GREEN-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: [GREEN-L] ELLA M.
