Hi--Thought it was about time I posted my queries, again. Any help would be More than welcome-- Mary E. GREEN b 25 Dec 1939 married Richard LEIGH b 11 May 1836. I don't know who their parents are but here are the Humphrey connections: In the 1850 census of Carroll Co., TN, Mary Green is listed in the home of Elizabeth Humphrey a 60 year old widow born in NC. She had the following children: Enoch b c1818, Elizabeth b c1823, Ann b c1825, Sarah b c1827, Pheby b c1828, William b c1829, Malinda b c1832, Joseph b c1833 and Marion b c1834. The children were possibly born in GA with the last two possibly being born in TN. I was told that Elizabeth came to Carroll Co., TN before 1833 and she was a widow in the 1840 census also. She deeded her land in TN to her son Enoch, and the son Joseph may have married in 1859. Mary Green had a brother named Joseph. A Joseph Green married Martha Humphrey in Madison Co., TN 11 Oct 1852. Richard Leigh's parents may have been Richard Leigh b c1804 SC d Dec 1859 and Patsey or Martha Humphrey b c1809 NC d Jan 1860. They both died in Carroll Co., TN of pneumonia. Their children were Emeline, Adeline, Hildra, Martha, Elizabeth, Richard, Nancy, James, William, Laodicia and Sarah. Thank you so much.
