I believe John Green son of Robert died about 1743. Mell >> Hi Mell, Which church book did you find this info in? Was it the History of St. Mark's Parish in Culpeper County, Virginia? I believe you got the sequence mixed up. Col. William Green was the eldest child of Robert Green, born 1695, who was the nephew of William Duff. Col. William Green died in 1770, and his brother, Col. John Green replaced him as Vestryman. Col. John Green died in 1793, and his body was moved to Arlington Cemetery many years later. I am always interested in any new info on any of our Green ancestors, and would be interested in the book you have found. Please post the name and author when you get a chance. Tom Green
