    3. For Bob, Jim, Ron, Joe, Ron, Charles, and J R, and whoever is "listening in": Bob was generous enough to share with me a letter he received from John Edwards on the subject of the three Shadrack GREENs of Rutherford County, and their relations. This man spent twenty years on the subject and deserves a hearing. I have used ellipses to remove the personal or irrelevant material -- use your delete button if I am boring you. "Letter to Robert L. Wall from John Edwards, Family Researcher. Dear Robert, You will see from these census in 1790 we had 3 Shadrack Greens. Only one of them had any children [then] we think he was the one who married Mary Gage.... All three of the Shadrack Greens left Rutherford Co in 1806 with John Collis who married Hannah Buchanan and William Buchanan and Elizabeth Jones. There was 14 families that left together in 1806 that went to Burke Co, now Mitchell Co. One of these Shadrack Green was supposed to have married Nancy Jones dau. of John Jones. One of these Shadrack Greens came back to Rutherford Co about 1815 and moved next door to Stephen Jones son of John Jones and a sister [sic] of Nancy Jones who was supposed to have married a Shadrack Green. The Shadrack Green also bought his land when he came back to Rutherford Co from Stephen Jones I have a copy of it so he could be the Shadrack Green that married Nancy Jones. The John Green that married a Elizabeth Jones here and went to Mitchell co , NC about 1796 with Joseph Buchanan that married Sarah Jones, dau of John Jones. Aaron Burleson , [and] 2 McKinney families also went with them....We also know that John Green had a son Shadrack Green who was dead in 1855 when his brother was trying to get some money from the father¹s pension in 1855. Each one of these Shadrack had a son Shadrack Green so it makes it hard to trace them. You have to work the Jones, Buchanan and Greens to try to get them strung out. We do know the Shadrack that married Mary Gage can¹t be the one who died in Cleveland Co in 1846. He didn¹t have children till 1800 [sic] and the one that married Mary Gage in 1882 would have had children before 1800. ... there were 3 Sharacks in 1790, 3 in 1800, none in Rutherford in 1810.... There are 2 in 1810 Burke Co, one with a J. This could possibly be Shadrack Jones Green, and not a Jr. The Shadrack in the 1820 Burke is not the same one in 1830 .... I have been working on those family for 20 years. John"
