I have not checked the Bethlehem Diary records, but the Nazareth entries listing daughters traveling to Bethlehem, suggest that the girls may also have attended classes in that town. Dick Musselman >> Hi Dick, Thanks for the additional info. I recall reading that several of the children were sent off to school, but I did not know where, except for her ldest child, George Washington Greene. He and been born after the Revolution started, and he was raised during the war. He was a favorite of his God Parents President George and Martha Washington, and they wanted young George to live with them so they could supervise his education, but Catharine Littlefield Greene chose to send her first child to France with General Lafayette inorder to have the best education he could get at the time. Of course the French Revolution broke out and young George Washington Greene barely excaped after Lafayette and his wife were placed in prision. Unfortunately George had just returned home when he drowned in front of his home. His siblings said that their mother was never the same after George died. Tom Green
