You do have to pay £4 per hour or £12 a day but it is such a mind of international genealogy by charging it is the only way they can maintain the records and books they hold. They are a registered Charity. Their web site is http://ww.sog.org.uk They are also holding their Fair in a larger Hall this year on 1st & 2nd May 1999, for several years, it has only been one day and so many people wanted to attend that they could only spend limited time at the fair and that was only if they were luck enough to get in because there were too many people for safety.
