    2. In a message dated 98-12-11 13:15:00 EST, you write: << We ought to expect her last child born about 1685, to 1690 unless the age we have for her is wrong. Thiss seems to exclude Abraham. Was there a will or other evidence? Ken >> Hi Ken, Your theory is correct, but we don't have an accurate birth date for Martha Filmer. The date of birth of Thomas "The Seagull" Green is baised on the fact that a Thomas Green was a passenger on the ship, Speedwell, that arrived in 1635, but this might not have been the correct passage of the ship. I have seen 1649 as the birth date of the young Seagull Green, and I am guessing that the birth year of Martha Filmer is baised on that of her future husband. Can anyone shed any light on this problem? Both sons, Col. Abraham Green and William Green that married Amey Clay, are commmonly given as about 1700, and there are enough land deeds to pretty well prove they were sons of Thomas and Martha Filmer Green, so we are probably incorrect on many of the birth dates of this family. Tom Green
