Hi Dave, Some time ago you asked me about the Home in New Jersey where Gen. Nathaniel Green wintered in 1779. I believe the home was that of Mrs. Van Veghten, located between Bound Brook and Somerville. This was the home where the General held the dance and Gen. George Washington danced with Catharine Littlefield Greene for three hours without either sitting down. Gen. Greene sat at a table and intertained Martha Washington while her husband danced with his wife for three hours! I can emagine what my wife would have said about that!
