I am trying to locate a Jerry Jones "jbjones1@hooper.net" who had data on Virginia GREEN's, TYUS and CADDELL surnames. I sent an email but it came back undelivered. I need to pass the following msg to him: "Jerry, I am very interested in your Virginia GREENs and TYUS as well. I'd also like to see what every you have on CADDELL,CADDLE,CADDEL (var sp). I first find my ancestor, Andrew CADDLE (CADDEL) listed as witness a deed in Spotsylvania Co., VA in 1751. From 1754 through 1762 he worked with various land surveyors including LEA, CHURTON, BANKSTON. It appears he married Jean HNEDERSON (I have a deed dtd 1768 that Jean and Andrew signed) in abt 1765 (based on the ages of his children). Their children: 1. Infant :b. ca 1765, Orange Co., NC 2. Both William and Benjamin died during the 1830s. I do not have any documentation that Benjamin was the son of Andrew and Jean, however, he was not of the age to be a likely child of John Calvin and there are no known others. I do, however, have documentation from two records that they had sons John, Andrew and William. John Calvin had one know son - Andrew that went to Texas in about 1834. Andrew Henderson had several and all are well documented. William also had one know son - Andrew that went to Arkansas in about 1854. It was documented by a son of Andrew Henderson that William had another son in the year and after he died, name unknown. William's 1st son Andrew was my gr gr grandfather. Benjamin had minor children when he died but the names are not known. My gr gr grandfather, Andrew CADDEL's 5th son was named Lewis Tyus CADDELL. Andrew's 1st child died young. The next three sons and their father Andrew all died fighting in the Civil War. I have very little information on the GREENs, none on TYUS and none on HENDERSON. Please keep in touch.
