To Wm. Harwood et al.: On 12/28 you wrote, " Raymond David Wheeler (RDW) in his book "The Wheeler Genealogy" states that WILLIAM GREEN married SARAH SPRAGUE March 30, 1709, at Malden, MA. SARAH was born September 26, 1686, daughter of SAMUEL and SARAH (Surname Unknown) SPRAGUE. RDW lists four children all born at Malden: (1) MERCY born February 22, 1710; (2) SARAH born September 13, 1711; (3) HEPZIBAH born July 6, 1716; (4) WILLIAM born July 6, 1716. The source given is Malden vital records, pg. 33 for all births. I also show four additional children which apparently are in error and belong to another GREEN family. They were all born at Leicester, MA, and I have no source. They are: (1) ISRAEL born April 13, 1720, (2) CHARLES born August 18, 1724, (3) NAHUM born April 10, 1729, and (4) MERCY born August 18, 1731. If anyone on the list can tell me to which GREEN family these four belong, it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance." Deeds 29: 329 Worc. Deeds 39: 10 According to S. S. Greene above, the names you mentioned were all children of William Green, who was a carpenter, and Sarah Sprague. Mary (your Mercy), Sarah, Hephzibah & William were born in Malden, and Israel, Charles, Nahum & Mercy in Leicester, to where, with his father Capt.
