    2. Hi Louise, Did I reply to your message below? I am so far behind in answering my E-Mail I will never catch up! I will type in my comments on your message below to same time. Tom Green In a message dated 98-12-13 11:33:28 EST, you write: << Tom, Do you agree with this E-Mail on the children of Abraham Green? From old E-Mail from Betty C. posted on GREEN-Line by Fran. Abraham Green b. ca 1705-d. abt 1783 in Amelia Co., VA He was married to Elizabeth Cowles had the following children: 1. Obedience Obey GREEN {Born about 1730} 2. Elizabeth Cowles GREEN {married Alexander McNabb & George Pegram} 3. William Wills GREEN {born about 1730 & married Martha Clarke} 4. Rebecca GREEN {Married Martha Filmer Willis} 5. Mathew GREEN {I don't show Mathew. Do you have additional info?} 6. Sarah GREEN {married Jeremiah Keen} 7. Susannah GREEN { Married Henry Vaden} 8. Cowles GREEN {I don't show this child. Do you have additional info?} 9. Abram GREEN {Col. Abraham (1745 - 1810) married Elizabeth Browne and Martha Armstead} [I have found proof of sons William Wills, Mathew, and Abraham Jr. in land records in Mecklenburg Co. Did not see a mention of Cowles.--L.P.] Obedience Obey GREEN married William GREEN (son of William Marston Green and Amey Clay) on 10 Feb. 1768. William Green was born about 1745, he died about 1791. She was married to Richard FOSTER about 1792. Richard FOSTER was born in Prince Edward Co., VA. I show that William Green married Obediance Green February 10, 1768, and they did not have any children. When William Green died he left land to his nephews, and his wife, Obediance, who quickly married Richard Foster. A law suit quickly resulted, and there are records of this period. One name you meniton interest me. You mention that the above William Green was a son of William Marston Green and his wife Amey Clay. I have seen the name "Marston" as the middle name of this William Green before, but do not think this is correct. Elizabeth Marston, born November 25, 1672 married Thomas Green, the older brother of this William Green, and I doubt that his younger brother would have had the middle name Marston. Thomas and Elizabeth Marston Green had a son named Marston Green, born about 1731 who married Elizabeth Last Name Unknown, and they were the parents of Col. Grief Green. If there was a William Marston Green, it is my GUESS it was the Marston Green mentioned above. What do you think? Merry Christmas, Tom Green
