I don't know that I am related to Elizabeth GREEN, but I live in Pueblo, Colorado. There is an Historical Marker at the site of the Mormontown with the names of the settlers on it. It was on the Arkansas River, a little east of the Fort Pueblo. A local woman, Mary Lindenmuth Scarcello, has written a book about the Battalion and the people in the settlement. There is where the first white baby in the Colorado Territory was born; the first school, first church and cemetery were there, even though the town did not last long. So Samuel Gould and son John had a part in Colorado history, as well as LDS church history. I'm glad to know they were of GREENS. Her book tells essentially the same information as you told, except a little more about Samuel being in the advanced party to reach Utah and that he had to chase down some horse thieves who had stolen horses from the town.
