He died in 1784 in present-day Metcalfe Co. Ky at Wisdom at the Big Blue Springs. I've been there and there are several stones. mostly field stones and illegible. Lewis was born ca 1724 per mathematics from his F & I War info. He lived in the part of Lunenburg Co., VA that became Mecklenburg Co. He was associated with the Henry Green family there. Henry was from Christ Church Parish in Prince George Co. and Lewis was a common name there. I, however, do not yet know his father, but suspect that he was related to the Andersons since the A. middle initial that he had was the same as his grandson: Lewis Anderson Green. Larry Herrin >> Hi Larry, Thanks very much for the additional info on Lewis Green. I have a copy of the Draper info compiled by Charles A. Barker in 1995, and have enjoyed reading about the bear attacking Lewis Green, and his survival. I do have a little info on Lewis Green, born about 1710 in Prince George County, Virginia, died August 6, 1785 in Washington County, VA. (now Tennessee). Lewis Green married Elizabeth Lauderdale in about 1750, and she died in Davidson County, Tennessee. Their children were: Nancy, Lewis, Elizabeth, Janes, Thomas, Zachariah, Sarah, John, Jesse and Jeremia Green. I have not done any research on this family, but only collected the above info from the internet. Does this match with what you have on the family? Tom Green
