    1. [GREEN-L] Re: Daniel Boone & Lewis Green Connection.
    2. Hi Dan, Thanks for posting the info on the Potts Creek area. You seem very knowledgable of the area and I have interest in that part of the country. You are probably aware that the Jersey Settlement was established near the ancient Indian crossing of the Yadkin River, and I have attempted to find the parents of my William Green born 1762 in Prince Edward County, Virginia, and died in Haywood County, North Carolina March 2, 1837. If you know of any connection to any Green family in Jersey Settlement I would be most interested in what you may have. The other family I have an interest is the Lewis Green family, and the story is that Lewis Green went on an extended bear hunt with Daniel Boone and was all but killed by the bear, but managed to survive and the creek where this happned was named Lewis Creek in his honor. I am attempting to determine if this Lewis Green was related to Lucy Blackwell Green, born February 27, 1776, who married Senator George Boone. Lucy Blackwell Green was the daughter of Capt. William Green, born about 1754, who was the son of Robert Green who married Patty Ball, a relative of President George Washington. Can you provide any help with this Lewis Green? Thanks, Tom Green
