    3. While doing some research in King George Co. Va. I found this deed and thought that the "RED GREENS" might be interested in it. King George County deed records vol 7 page 445. This indenture made 11 day of June in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety three. Between WILLIAM GREEN and BETSEY his wife of the county of Culpepper of the one part, WITNESSETH that the said WILLIAM GREEN and BETSEY his wife for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings to him the said WILLIAM in hand paid at and before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledge, and more especially for the natural love and affection which he hath and does bear unto the said FRANCIS W.GREEN his brother as aforesaid, etc..... a certain tract, tenement and parcel of land in the county of King George containing by estimation five hundred acres to be them same more or less, in being the remainder and residue of a larger tract of land formerly held by the daid WILLIAM GREEN in the said county of King George under the WILL of WILLIAM DUFF deceased, which said tract or parcel of land has been for a number of years past in the possesion and under the occupation of him the said FRANCIS W. GREEN, by virtue of a verbal gift thereof from the said WILLIAM, being bounded as followeth, on the south by the lands of THOMAS SMITH, on the east by the lands of JESSE JONES and JAMES MARDERS and on the north and west by the lands of the said THOMAS SMITH and CALEB SMITH and the dower lands of MRS. ANN GREEN etc............ To have and to Hold signed WILLIAM GREEN BETSY GREEN In the presence of WILLIAM BOON Justice, CALEB SMITH AARON THORNLEY, AUST> SMITH This WILLIAM BOON was also sheriff of King George Co. and married KEZZIAH GREEN daughter of RICHARD GREEN 1770.
