My MC MASTER line were in New York in 1800 when Levi MC MASTER Sr. was born and he moved to Huron County, Ohio about 1833 where his 4th child was born. His son Levi was the 5th child and he grew up and moved to Michigan. Everywhere this family lived there were members of the same GREEN line. I have not been able to make the connection between the GREEN and MC MASTER families as yet and how my Willis GREEN became a Mc Master. MC MASTER. There is no record of a legal adoption in the county in Michigan that the GREEN and MC MASTER families lived.The older members of my family said that Willis was raised by Levi MC MASTER and took the MC MASTER name. Does anyone know anything about a Willis or William GREEN born about 1870 who was "adopted" by Levi and Mary Ann (CHILD) MC MASTER? His "adopted parents were born in Ohio. Levi was one of 12 children of Levi and Charity (NEWBUY) MC MASTER. Willis was suppose to have been born in Tuscola County, Michigan and that is where he lived with Levi and Mary Ann. All I know is his birth surname was GREEN.
