I have just received an email from Kirby Green that contained the ME_NUDE virus attachment. Luckily my Norton caught it. Just thought you'd would all want to know.
Hello Kirby Green, and James G. Walker So far this morning I have gotten 14 more e-mails in my inbox that fit the description of the infected e-mails. I deleted them without opening them. I'm sending this short note to each person whose names were on those e-mails, in the hopes that they will become alerted to the fact that they may have the virus. I would suggest that Kirby (especially since Kim has gotten a similar e-mail from Kirby), and James run a virus scan on their computers. Hopefully their scans will come up with a clean bill of health, but if not, at least they will be made aware that they have a problem, and can begin to fix it. Both e-mails that I received were forwards of GREEN-L topics, with blank text pages, and attachments. My Zone Alarm warned me off of the attachments. I sincerely hope this helps someone. I thought this might help someone so I am sending the information along to the list. There is a patch that will take care of the problem if you are using Outlook Express. Since I downloaded it I have not received any more of the virus. Everyone still needs to run a virus check on their computer after they make sure they have the latest antivirus update. www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/js.exception.exploit.html Hello Kirby Green, and James G.
