For those who are looking for connections with the Greens: >From "Colonial Families of the Southern States of America" by Stella Pickett Hardy, the section on the Burwell family lists a Lewis Green b. Dec. 14, 1779, m. Sally Green, dau. of Col. Armistead Green of Amelia Co., Va. and had issue. Our Greens were in Amelia County -- Abraham Green was son of Seagull and he settled in Amelia County. His son, William Wills, was probably born there but settled in Mecklenburg County and owned property there (referenced in his will). William's brother Abraham m. Martha Armistead. I do not see a Col.Armistead Green in our line. I believe that I sent Bill Caddell some information on the Burwells from the book referenced above. Just for info. Catharine
