Any Green "cousins" have an idea where my Green's in Cumberland County, Carlisle PA may have originated. The farthest I can trace is Jonathan Green born in the 1770's. His son David Green Sr born 1796 was christened in the 1st Evangelical Lutheran Church there in Carlisle. This leads me to believe maybe they were German. What do you all think? David Green Jr married Rachel Peffer and they all migrated to Iowa together in the 1850's. Any idea's?
