Looking for information on William Armstrong Green - born February 15, 1839 in Mifflin County, PA. He is the son of William Green and Esther Armstrong. William Armstrong Green married Sarah Henrietta Carroll (daughter of Ferdinand Carroll and Lorinda Thompson) October 8, 1872 in Grant County, Wisconsin. Their children, Anna Lucy b. 1873, Kate L. b. 1875, Jesse W. b. October 31, 1876 Bremer Co., Iowa, Ralph b. January 4, 1882, Elizabeth (Bessie) Helen Green b. January 4, 1887 in Bremer Co., Iowa. Jesse W. Green was a Justice of the Peace in Dubuque after he retired from the railroad. Elizabeth married Christian Anthony Fosselman in Waverly, Iowa. There is some family memory of a relative of William Green being related to a Green that served as a blacksmith for George Washington. I know nothing more about this family.
