A close friend sent this to me and I thought thelist might like to read it. I think it says what we are all thinking right now. And although it just mentions America, it applies also to th UK, we have fought terrist on our shores for over 30 years now. Yet life still goes on. Many finance and insurance companies have offices both in London and NY and as you all know many Britains were killed in NY last week working at their desks as well. I do not know how much news is getting through from outside the States (we have very little here other than what is happening in NYand thing connected with it). We did have a 3 minute silence and a memorial service in St Paul's last Friday for the victims. At changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace they played the American anthem. There have been memorial services all over the country and books of rememberance have been opened in all places of worship. I am half American and belong to a list of other Anglo Americans and we have all felt for all of you Stateside, whether you are family, friends or just citizens. We have each other to talk to and share ou feels.
