My lineage is also from John Louis Greene (my great grandfather) and his second wife Nancy Jane Snider (Kinnard). I have a great picture of John Louis Greene in his Civil War uniform in a frame with my father John Louis Greene as a Marine aviator standing with his Corsair in the early 1950's. Most of the older information I have was compiled from "Research of The Greene Family History" gathered by Alta M. (Mrs.. Fred O.) Greene in August of 1978 and copies made available to the family. Edna G. (Barrows) Mattson and Fred O. Greene, Sr. did the original research in the 50's. Later a cousin of theirs, Edith Greene, compiled a "book" with their research and some additional material. I have a copy of the this "book" although it has been recopied several times and of just acceptable quality (especially the pictures). I have now digitally saved this "book" and would be happy to provide you with a copy if you wish. Let me set it out: Lt. Thomas Greene b abt 1732 d abt 1780 had son Thomas Greene (wife Amy Kezee) father of Theodrick Greene father of John Louis Greene (second wife Nancy Jane Snider (Kinnard)) father of William McKinley Greene father of John Louis Greene who is my father I have recently been in touch with John Louis Greene son of Columbus Greene son of Marion Greene son of John Louis Greene & Evaline Edgmon (first marriage). He sent me his GED.com file and it fits very well with some minor date a spelling differences. I quized my uncle Willima (Don) Greene about the spelling of his grand father John Louis (Lewis) Greene. He assured me that it was Louis as he say him spell it Louis in his own hand. Amy Keesee was Kezee in the "book" given to me but I tend to think Keesee is the correct version. Any thoughts on that? Do you know anything about Nancy Jane Snider (Kinnard). I have that John Snider was her father? Is the Kinnard a first marriage? I have taken to collecting as much information as possible on one Greene family branch (John Louis Greene & Nancy Jane Snider) before the remaining living resources are gone and have not really started researching the geneaology. If you have any information that you think might be useful, please send it my way. I would be happy to provide you with any assistance.
