I posted this message about a year ago with no luck. Hopefully, there is someone out there at this time that can help!! I'm looking for a Samuel GREEN born to a Sarah GREEN in THORNEY, Cambridgeshire, England in February 1780. On the IGI, a father isn't listed for Samuel, but a relative - William Erastus CARTER. I also found a Sarah GRREN that married a man by the last name of MASON about a year later. I have no idea if the two Sarahs are one and the same. My gggg grandfather was Samuel GREEN. I know he was buried in March in the Isle of Ely in the county of Cambridgeshire in February of 1840. It stated he was 60 years old when he died. So far I haven't been able to locate his birth/baptism in March. He married Susanna BILLET on August 05, 1806 in March. However, before his marriage entry, it is as if he didn't exist. I'd like to find out if the Samuel born to Sarah Green is my gggg grandfather. I have a lot of information on Samuel and his descendants but nothing on his ancestors.
