    3. Hello Green cousins, I am looking for connections out there. I don't know where they originated from. I know most of my records came from the 1st Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cumberland County, Carlisle PA. they migrated to Johnston County Iowa in the 1850's and out from there. (They traveled by wagon train to the Ohio River then up the Missippi to Iowa. Please look at the names and dates. His father was Jonathan Green born in the 1770's. I don't know the mother's name. But this is my entire Green line! Check it out. Add it to whatever "Green" sites you may have what ever. 3. Janine, Have you ever been able to figure out who the parents of Mary Davis were? Ruth ----- Original Message ----- From: "Janine" <janine@muskoka.com> To: <GREEN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, April 21, 2004 4:43 PM Subject: [GREEN] my Green's While we're at it. Alexander Washington Green born 1822 in West Flamboro, Ontario, Canada married Ellen Laughead in 1854 in West Garafraxa, Ontario, Canada. Alexander was the son of William Green ) born Hardwick, Sussex, New Jersey, USA) and Christina Markle born in Ontario. Many records have Alexander dying at 6 months old which I still can't figure that one out since he moved to Muskoka and had a large family. During all the census he was always living beside a sibling and even had a son he named after his brother-in-law. When looking up the baptismal records there he was with several of his siblings all at the same time. The book I have even had a burial place for him yet the records for that cemetery don't mention him being there at all. I even thought it might of been another brother but no sign of another sibling with that name. His grandparents were John Green and Mary Davis of New Jersey. 3. Pat, Have gone to the LDS Church to look Ancestry.com for free. Lewis Green is Marion County, MO is in 1850 Census. I think is family is from Sunmer Co. TN My Green family is in Platte county, MO and like you I stuck too. In Platte is John (my), Elisha (my John brother) Peter and Benjamin all there in 1840 Census. Only one whos still living in 1850 is Elisha Green. Elisha and John are two of 11 siblings Janet -----Original Message----- From: Pat Foster [mailto:pjf1946@cox.net] Sent: Wednesday, April 21, 2004 12:19 PM To: GREEN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [GREEN] NC Greens I have 2 strands of Greens. There is a long strand of Greens behind Lewis that my friend has and he is better at sending records than me. _____________________________ My grandfather was a Lewis Green, apparently from a different line and we have only been able to connect him to his father, Marion Green (possibly John Marion Green) b. 1847 in Missouri. I have a 2nd cousin who has searched for years and together we haven't been able to figure out just who Marion's father was. She found Marion from his Civil War discharge forward but no history that we can be sure is correct of his first 19 years or so. We can't even find any siblings for him. North Carolina: Census records show that he says his father was born in North Carolina. some show his mother was also born in NC. I think there is one set that says his mother was b in Tenn. 3. I have found that my gg-grandmothers parents were William Green born in Tenn. and Elizabeth GABRIAL born in Penn. I don't have a birthplace for gg-grandma whose name was Wilmurth Rebecca GREEN. She went by Rebecca sometimes and Wilmurth other times which makes tracing her difficult. She was born March 8, 1831 and died September 18, 1912 in Olmstead County Minnesota where a daughter, Rose TURNER lived. Wilmurth was married three times..to Stephen CASS who died at age 28, to Stephen Albert ROBERTS from England, he just seems to have disappeared and Lawerence CASPERLINE, who also seems to have disappeared into thin air. Any help with these names would be wonderful. Thank you. Donna
