In a message dated 98-09-05 23:45:11 EDT, you write: << I am a descendant of Frances Green who m. Ephraim Parham. Frances Green was born ca. 1665, maybe in Virginia. She was the dau of Lewis Green and g. dau of Peter Green, as I understand it from IGI. However, I'm trying to track down documentation from Frances Green back. I would appreciate any help. Bob >> Hi Bob, I know there have been several messages posted about your Frances Green, and you may have additional info by now, but I wanted to let you know that several researchers do not believe that Peter Green was the father of Lewis Green, Sr. Do you have documentation of this relationship? I know others would be happy to nail down this relationship. My interest in this family, is that Lewis Green the father of Burwell Green, inherited land that once belonged to William Green who married Amey Clay. I am attempting to connect my William Green born February 6, 1762 in Prince Edward County, Virginia to the Thomas "The Seagull" Green family. Any heop you can provide would be appreciated. Hi everyone: I have all the census stuff online that I'm putting online, for now at least! The links Ann and Victoria provided work, but the main census page is http://members.tripod.com/~Nettie_Mae/ceninfo.htm There is more than just TN info here too. I put up pages for what schedules were done when and where. Mortality schedules too. Does anyone have Family Tree Maker CD #2 that could send me the info in #675. It was submitted by Midge Baker (I'd love her email address too, even snail mail would do!) I believe it's more of a Davis family than Green. I don't know if she got as far as my Green family or not. One of the names I'm looking for is Mag Docia Davis and it's on that cd. I am looking for a Ruth Green who possibly was born in or around Anne Arundel County, Maryland. We have a Green Will found in that county that mentions her as a daughter. I am trying to connect her as the wife of George Parsons. Any information on a Ruth Green born somewhere around 1740-1745+ would be greatly appreciated.

Genealogy Personal Home Pages Hi! I added pages which are dedicated to all researchers who have a genealogy site on the WEB plus for those looking for a certain surname. This site lists surnames & genealogy personal home page links of those who are providing online information for their ancestors. I am hoping this page will let people searching for a particular surname find web pages with a matching surname without going through multiple search engines or webrings. You don't have to join anything or mess with passwords - just fill out a form. Right now this page is in the beginning stages but I hope it will grow in time and serve as a very useful genealogy resource to all that are interested. We've got over 380 links already! I encourage you to check out my page and if interested in contributing your information, complete my form. Then your web page address and surnames will be added to this page after review (within a week unless I am overwhelmed). If your web page and surnames are not on the page within a week, please email me to find out why. All that I ask for this service is that on your page you provide a link back to: Genealogy Personal Home Pages. I have an Asa Green in my line. I seen that in the RI. line that there is an Asa. Does anyone know if Asa was a common or uncommon name? Also, I have a Landa Green. Has anyone ever heard of the name Landa, or know it's meaning? Beth
Hi Harold in TX, Sorry I don't have any information for you but I am searching also for a Green who came from Virginia to Indiana. My gr grandfather was Nathaniel Green who landed in Clay County Indiana in 1857. He came from Virginia and I am searching several resources in Virginia looking for his family. He is in Indiana census 1860, 1870, 1880 and died in 1897. I can't find him anywhere in 1850, must have hid from the census taker. If I find anything on him and there is a Jenie/Jennifer/Virginia involved I will let you know. If you find anything on a Nathaniel/Nathan/Nate please let me know. (My Nathaniel was born in Virginia in 1822.) Thanks, Harold in IN
I had just sent out a plea for help in finding information on Nathaniel Green, from a Green family that had came from England to Alexandria, Virginia, then to Wythe County Virginia, then to Clay County, Indiana. Almost as soon as I sent the message out my e-mail quit working and I didn't receive and messages for two days. Maybe my message didn't even get to the list, I am not sure. If anyone seen my message and sent me any information I would appreciate it very much if you could send it again as I believe two days messages were lost. Harold Wayne Green
There is a new link on Rensselaer county NY's Genweb Page that is just incredible....a trillion cemetery records for the county. There are hundreds of Greenes and Greens. Many of the early New England Green/es went to this area, so you might want to check for your ancestors there. Many records include the names of wives and parents. I just thought of another avenue to possibly trace my grandmother Jennie(Jennifer?)(Virginia?) GREEN's parents. If anyone on the list has a record of their GREEN's moving from Virginia or any other place, to Ohio and on to Indiana, I would appreciate hearing from you via my email. Thanks. Hi Folks! I finally have a possible lead on my infamous, from under a rock Charles FM Greene and was hoping that one of you could do me a huge favor via a Census Index lookup? Does anyone have access to the 1860 NY Federal Census Index? If so, could you be so kind as to do a lookup for a Charles Greene/Green in Town of Greenville or Greenville Township, Greene County NY? I need to know the page number and what NARA microfilm roll number. >From a census CD, I found a Charles Greene in Greenville Township Greene Co NY in 1860, but it only gives a page number, no NARA roll number and without that Im still lost. Thank you ! Sue Pawley trottr@icanect.net
