    3. Re-posting: Does anyone on the list have any information on Charles GREEN and wife, Sarah A. LOWE. They were the parents of my grandmother and the only listing for them is they were from Ohio. I am thinking they may have lived in Indiana about 1900, maybe even 1880-1890. My grandmother was 29 years old in 1899 and had a 5 year old son, Carl GREEN WEAVER. There is also a photo I have that shows my grandmother, age 29 with her sister, Rosella, age 22, So. Whitley, IN. I also have another photo of grandparents and uncle dated 1901 in NM territory. My grandmother Jennie GREEN WEAVER was born in Ohio. No idea of where. Have eliminated several counties through people kind enough to do look-ups. 3. Hi Tom and all, I have gone over the records from many abstracts in Virginia, and I find a remarkable number of these Greens, some using these names, and they don't seem to have been researched. I wonder if others are seeing this? I suspect we are picking each other's brains, but ignoring the evidence. Also I find a disagreement with some of the LDS records. My point, how can we know what's been found and linked? Ken At 08:44 PM 12/17/98 EST, TBGreen3@aol.com wrote: >Hi Louise, > >Did I reply to your message below? 2. In a message dated 98-12-13 03:29:01 EST, you write: << DUFF GREEN, (3--3), of Fauquier Co., Va., d. before 1776; m. (first) Miss Barbour; (second) Ann Waller, dau. of Col. Benjamin Waller, of Williamsburg, Va.; (third) Ann Willis, dau. of Col. Henry and Mildred (Washington-Gregory) Willis, of "Willis Hill." (See Washington lineage.) Issue by first marriage: 4--1. William Green, of Culpeper Co., son of William and -- (Coleman) Green, of Culpeper Co., Va., and had issue. Hi Jo Orvik! Thanks you so much for posting all the information about the Green families! I hope you were able to scan this data and did not have to type all that you have posted. For over 30 years various members of my family have attempted to identify the parents of William Green, born February 6, 1762 in Prince Edward County, Virginia. My efforts have been to work "down," in that I have attempted to identify all Greens that came to Virginia prior to 1750 and track their descendants down, in hopes of finding the parents of my William Green. For this reason, I am most interested in the data that you posted, because there is always some new info that I don't have. In the case of the above portion of one of your messages, I had not seen the name of the second wife of Duff Green before. Could you please tell me where you found the name of Ann Waller the daughter of Col. Benjamin Waller? The other new info. in your posting concerns Elizabeth Green, the child of Duff Green and his first wife. Apparently Elizabeth married her first cousin, William Green, the son of Col. William Green and his wife Ann Coleman. I'm sure you know that Col. William Green was the oldest son of Robert Green, born 1695. Col. William Green married Ann Coleman the daughter of Francis Coleman and his wife Hannah Johnston. I did not know that the children of these two brothers had married. Thank you for that new info. I notice you show the name of Duff Green's first wife was Miss. Barbour, and she was the mother of Elizabeth Green mentioned above. Do you have any additional info about Miss. Barbour? I have seen this name before, but have also seen the name Miss. Thomas as the first wife of Duff Green. Any additional info you might have about this family would be greatly appreciated! I do not know if I am related to the Robert Green family or not, but would appreciate any help you might be able to provide to identify the parents of my William Green. Merry Christmas, Tom Green

    1. [GREEN-L] Christmas Story
    2. DENNISON
    3. Dear Donna, I enjoyed your Christmas Story very much. Right now, I only have one item that could be used as a Christmas Gift. My husband Harold has suggested giving the Kids money which sounds very easy, but I usually like to buy at least one thing for them. I've gotten to be a geneology bug and have neglected my responsibilities. I've got to be better for the Living. So, I'm going to see our oldest son in Colorado Springs Thursday evening. Probably all by myself. I have plane reservations for my husband, but he is an incurably workaholic, and I doubt will go with me. Merry Christmas to all of You and to all a good night!
