    3. With all this discussion on Thomas Green's and near the NC border, am wondering if perhaps more Thomas' might have descended and migrated into NC. Have traced my lineage to a Thomas Green, b. before 1726, d. abt. 1800, Duplin Co., NC. We have reviewed three other Green lines in NC (New Hanover [Anthony, Dr. Samuel], Craven [Furnifold] and Cowan [Jeremiah] Counties) but have been unable to link to any of those. My Thomas had children Lott, John, Temperance, Sarah, and Reubin. I came from the Lott clan. Here's hoping that some of this might produce a bit of information or an idea in response. Thanks for your consideration. A live time historian is searching for the grave of Major Henry Filmer and he took some of us on a tour of the island when we were there for the Yorktown celebration in October. I realize this is a very slim amount of information, but it does seem to give some credibility to an estimated birth year for Martha Filmer of between 1620 to 1640. As you can see, Martha Filmer Green would have been about 65 years old when her youngest son, William Green was born in 1705. I guess this is possible, but I doubt it really did happen. I have not proven this and am struggling to find proof. Penelope Greene (father was Daniel Greene) was born in Hamilton County, FL in 1819 and married John G. Bell. They moved to Bellville, TX where they both are now buried. If you have any information connecting your Daniel Greene with your Daniel Greene, I would love to hear about it. 3. Hi Rex, Have I previously e-mailed you about a Richard Parsons? My ggranddad was named Richard Parsons. He had a daughter named Mary Lou Parsons who married Adam McCutchen. Norah was his wife. He lived in Sc. and was born around 1840 or 50? I do not know anything about Richard Parsons. I do have a letter from 1800's which state he was working for my great granddad's family in Va. & was traveling back & forth from Sc. to Va. This family would be Hinnant, Frank ? I cannot remember his last name. This family came from N.C. They were slave owners and slaves. I am black, white & indian. My great grandma was Mary Jordan who married William Green. She was from Indiana I recently found out. I was thinking if you have a Richard Parsons maybe? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rex" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, December 11, 2001 12:40 AM Subject: [PARSONS-L] Richard Parsons and William Parsons > Hi all. I just subscribed to the list and am looking for information pertaining to William Parsons, born in NC 5 June 1791. He married Lucy Pierce in Carter Co. TN in 1811. I believe his father was Richard PARSONS who died in Surry Co. in 1817. Would appreciate knowing more about this Richard. > > Rex Bertram > PO Box 651 > Redkey, IN 47373 > > I do Free Genealogy Look-ups from many sources. 3. Newer versions of software cannot always support all the older releases of the same program. (Otherwise we wouldn't get as many cool new features!) One way around (assuming you'd rather not upgrade at this time) it is to see if your cousin can save the data to disk again in a format that's readable by your older program. If that won't work, your cousin can see if he/she has the ability to save the information in a more general format - a GEDCOM, perhaps? - that you can open in any program, regardless of version. My cousin gave me a cd with my family line on it, but I can't open it because I get this message--"The file you are loading is from a newer version of FTM and cannot be loaded. To upgrade call...." Has anyone experienced this problem? and is there any way of opening this file?--Betty
