Hi List Members, I just found on the Ancestry World Tree Project where "The Hillard/Hilliard Family" had posted a small listing of the Green Family. Some of the descendants of Nelson Green and Elizabeth Field's were listed. This is the line of Greens that my Wife descended from. I would be very interested in knowing more about the Greens? I would like to get information about who Nelson descended from. I have info on the Fields back to England and the Greens down to present time. Hope the person who posted this information still has a working E-mail address and it is still good. I will be looking forward to hearing from them. So far it hasn't bounced back anyway. I would like to hear from anyone recognizing this line: Nelson M. Green 1849 - 1918 + Elizabeth M. Field 1848 - 1907 2 William H. Green 1870 - 1951 Born in Hillsdale Co. MI 2 Rhoda M. Green 1875 - 1915 same 2 Victor V. Green 1876 - ? same 2 Clark S. Green 1886 - ? same Bob Curtis in Southern CA. [email protected]
Searching for Eliza (Elizabeth) Green. Born in Ireland, married Worthy Thomas Wilcox (sometimes went by Thomas, born in England) on February 13, 1854 in Provincetown, MA. In 1860 I found them in Green Garden, Joliet, Illinois with three children: Lucy Ann, Thomas and Elizabeth. By 1870 three more children: Johannah, Mary and Martha. By 1880 Worthy w/o wife was located to Illinois, Nemaha, KS. I'm assuming she may have died. On Elizas marriage certificate it states her fathers name was Thomas Green and Worthy's fathers name was Thomas Wilcox. Any info on Eliza would be very appreciated. Diana in Oklahoma

When they moved to Indiana, I have found them living in Martin Co. and Washington Co. After that they moved to Davis Co., Iowa. After that, the ones I am descended from moved on to MO, KS and OK. It does seem like they moved around a lot after leaving Maryland which makes it very difficult to trace them. Rose Mary

I'm looking for the following family. Alvina (should be Albina) Green is my great grandmother. She married Elijah Hersey in Houlton, ME, in 1853. They had five children, the first died at age 10Charles. The others were Alice Barbara, Mary A. or E., Milton James and Charles Edwin. I'm trying to discover the relationships between the four Green families in Woodstock/Richmond as they all appear on land grant together: James, William, Benjamin and Nathan Green. I'm also looking for the parents of James, etc. Below are the facts I know: James Green who married Mary Plummer, both of the Parish of Woodstock, on 15 January, 1831. The 1851 Carleton County Census lists, in the Parish of Woodstock: GREEN, James, 50, farmer, native of N.B. Mary, 40, b. NB John, 18, b. NB Alvina, 17 (your Albina), b. NB Darius, 15, b. NB Marcy, 13, b. NB Thanks, Marilyn Hersey Brown [email protected]

I have a book "Early Missourians and Kin" by Roy Burgess, 1984. The book is not easy to decifer, but it lists a Squire Boone and a Nancy Boone, distantly related to each other. It also lists families of Green, Logan, Thompson, Ramey, Fisher, Bradley, McCarty, Brooks, Bradley, Franks, Mason, and several Boone names. The book is in my possession because it connects several lines of my SHOCKLEY, COX, and my GREEN line. The reason I mention it here is because the Shockley family was said to have moved with the BOONE's from KTY to Gasconade Co, MO. While the first names of these families do not match, there is potential that they might be descendants of the people mentioned in the court record below.
