I submitting my request once again. So far, I've had no luck with finding the following: I'm looking for a birth record for Samuel Green. He married Susanna Billet in March in the Isle of Ely in Cambridgeshire. I've been able to find his marriage record and will. However so far no birth record. I've heard he was 60 years old when he died. He died in February 1840. Therefore, if the age was correct when he died, he would have been born around 1780. The only Samuel I've found born during that year was a Samuel born to a Sarah Green in Thorney. There wasn't a father listed. I've been able to trace several of his children. I know at least and maybe two of his sons moved to Australia (Victoria area). Another to Canada. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! I'll be looking forward to hearing from you. Benjamine Green married. Margaret Stevens in Sumpter Co., AL, in 1840. they had two girls. Octavia Josephane & Mary Ann. He left befor Mary Ann was born. 1850 census he was not there. Looking for information on JAMES N GREEN who was on the Greenville Co, SC census in 1820 & 1830. He was 26-45 yrs old in 1820 & between 40-50 in 1830. Wife was 16-26 in 1820 & 30-40 in 1830. Does anyone know where he was after 1830? I'm trying to find the parents of my grgrgr grandfather who was born in 1810. in SC.

Here's what I have, from a great-uncle of mine. William Green b. England married Joanna Reeder they had 11 children that he named. Their son Jeremiah Green married Joanna Hunt and he names 7 of their children. Their son, Richard Green married Eleanor Sullivan and he only knows one of their children. Their son, John married unknown and died at age 90. He only knows his son. Their son, Arthur Green b. 1797 d.1882 married Nancy Sparks b. 1802 d. 1877. He knows of 12 of their children. Their son John C. Green (my great-great grandfather) b. 1830 in Lincln Co., NC d. 18 Jan 1863 as a Confederate soldier in Jacksboro, Tn. Historians believe that the camp was nearly wiped out by measles. He married Isabell Stewart b. 1833 d. 1915 and is buried in Bear Creek cemetery in Ledger, NC. She remarried after his death. She married her cousin, Joseph Stewart. She had 10 children who belonged to John C. Green. Their fourth child was William M. "Dock" Greene (he added back the "e") who helped found Appalachian State Teachers College (now, University),and Superintendent of the Mitchell County, NC Schools. "Dock" Greene b. 1853 d. 1932 married Ella Lavinia McNeill b. 1866 d. 1956. They spent their married life in Wing, NC and are buried in Lily Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. They had 10 children whose backgrounds I know. My grandmother was one of the ten. I would love to know what you know and your sources.
