    3. I live in Canada and am searching for ancestors of Walter William GREEN born approximately 1894, married Madeline Lily ELPHICK in Steyning, Sussex in 1920. Walter's father was Henry Egbert GREEN and Madeline's father was Henry ELPHICK Witnesses to the marriage were Frederick Victor ELPHICK and Louisa Edith ELPHICK Walter and Madeline moved to Bushey, Watford, Hertfordshire, shortly after their marriage because they had a daughter, Joyce Marjorie GREEN, born there in October 1920 and a son, Leslie Frank GREEN born August 1923 I have already found information pertaining to Joyce but cannot find anything pertaining to Leslie, he seems to have fallen off the end of the world. If anyone has any info I would be much appreciated as searching in England from Canada is very difficult, to say the least. 3. Do you have any Walter William Greens in your lineage that would have still been living in England in the early 1900's? Judy ----Original Message Follows---- From: "chris hunt" <cah1800@earthlink.net> Reply-To: cah1800@earthlink.net To: GREEN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [GREEN] Lots of response Date: Wed, 21 Apr 2004 11:57:45 -0400 I have received quite a response to my first email- "anyone out there" So, I guess I will ask some questions.. I am looking for relatives. I have quite a bit of information on my Green line but more is always better and I would like to make contact with any relatives out there. My Great Great Grandfather was Andrew Green(1799-1884)- he came from Perth Scotland around 1835 and settled with his wife, Isabella Hay, in Goderich, Ontario His son, William Green (1821-1906) married Charlotte Morris in 1845 in Colborne Township, Huron County, Ontario...they had 12 children My grandfather, Alfred William Green (1851-1943), moved with his parents, new wife and some siblings to Cass County, North Dakota around 1880... He had 5 children with his first wife, Ellen McLean(d..1910)and then married my grandmother,Mary Ellen Frawley in 1911 in Detroit, Michigan I would like to locate any relatives out there. William and Martha married 11 Jan 1863 in Dawson, GA. Ray C. SWOFFORD says they were listed in the 1870-80 Bradley, TN Census. In 1870 she was listed as being 37 and in 1880 she was listed as 49. Martha was apparently previously married to a Mr. GREEN and she was formerly Martha GARNER. She is believed to have had one child by her previous marriage: Malina(?) H. GREEN born in 1853 in GA.
