I have a soldier who died at the battle of Gaza yet the SDGW says he died in Egypt. He is remembered on the Jerusalem Memorial. I have another soldier who died in 1918 of dysentery in Egypt (according to the SDGW) but is buried in Jerusalem. Both were with the 1/5th RWF. I'm a little confused. Peter

It's not my area of expertise but might Egypt be the campaign or 'field of battle' rather than the country? I note from Wikipedia "The First Battle of Gaza was fought on 26 March 1917, during the first attempt by the Egyptian Expeditionary Force (EEF) to invade the south of Palestine in the Ottoman Empire during the Sinai and Palestine Campaign of the First World War."
