    3. Hi all: The Canadian Veterans website under medals does mention 'theatre of war' for both the British War Medal and the Victory medal. I recall a New Zealand serviceman who got to England before the Armistice (the Armistice was not quite the end of the war?) and gwas awarded one medal only, I think it was the British War Medal, so I suppose the same would apply to Canadians, whether in the Army or Air Force. http://www.vac-acc.gc.ca/remembers/sub.cfm?source=collections/cmdp/mainmenu/group03 I think one day was enough, there was no qualifying period as there was for WWII medals (Which varied from one day to six months, depending on the service and medal! And 28 days for the War Service Medal 1939-45). See same website.
