Please note the following 1. The term is "honoura" or awards for gallantry. 2. They were not restricted to men, in 1914-1918 it was almost exclusively men, from England, but to those from the rest of the United Kingdom and the Empire. I note that Bill Gates has underlined in red the word "honours" above. Perhaps we should ban him from visiting Britain.
