    3. Hello Terry, Clause xvi of Paragraph 392 of Kings Regulations (KR) concerns soldiers discharged as no longer physically fit for service. There is a full list of them here: http://www.1914-1918.net/discharged.htm A.O. = Army Order so the reference refers to Paragraph 2b Army Order ii of 10.8.1917. I haven't got a copy of the Army Order to hand so can't quote chapter and verse but basically it dealt with the Silver War Badge and laid out the terms under which it might be awarded. Someone else might be able to give you the full quote.
