    3. Mike, Thank you so much for your help. You have hit on exactly my problem, wondering why he has not got a grave in the UK, yet commemoration on the memorial to the missing in Pozieres! I think I might have a word with CWGC and see what they think! Thanks again Dennis on 27/7/07 12:25 PM, Mike Shingleton at shinglma_64@btopenworld.com wrote: > Dennis > > Royal Horse Artillery and Royal Field Artillery > Territorial Force > HOGAN > William Thomas > DVR > 830629 > born Worcester > enlisted Kidderminster > died date: 21/03/1918 > died how: died of wounds > Theatre of War: home > > The theatre of war is peculiar and looks like an error - if he died of > wounds at home why is he listed on the Pozieres Memorial? 3. Dennis He's listed in the Army Deaths Other Ranks 1914-21; twice as it happens under references A.3 371 & A.8 308 - probably the result of an administrative error. If he had died at home I would expect him to be in the domestic registers. I can provide an image of the Army Registers if you want.
