Hi List, May I share with you my Great Grandmother Catherine GRANGER b abt 1844 in Newcastle on Tyne. The family here in New Zealand have a family bible which has the following message from her father John "To Catherine as a token of love and esteem. Hoping it will be a guide to the heart and a lamp on your path Washington April the 5th 1869" (Washington is a community just south of Newcastle on Tyne. Catherine sailed from England on the "Agnes Muir" on the 12-April-1869 and arrived in New Zealand on the 26-June-1869. Any info or your thoughts on her family`s background would be appreciated.
