Hi Caroline, Sorry for the delay in sending you a message regarding the Grainger surname in Dudley Worcester. I have a birth certificate that may be of interest to you. It is of the birth of Cartherine Granger b 21-Aug-1843 in Queens Crofs. The parents were William Cane Granger and Hannah Granger nee Heirshull/Meirshull (the writing is not clear on her maiden name) The father was a sand surveyor and the birth was registered in Dudley (no 459). I thought she may have been my Catherine Grainger/Granger who I later found was born in Northumberland.
