Searching for information and connections to Graingers in West Virginia who originally came from England. James Grainger (b. 1879 in Dudley, Staffordshire, England) married Alice McDarmont (b. 1880 County Durham, England). They came to McDowell County West Virginia in 1907. Children Edna (b. 1909) ; James (b. 1912) ; Charles (b. 1914) ; Jane (b. 1918) ; Noreen (b. 1922) I believe that in later years James & Alice moved on to Tennessee, where James died, and Kentucky, where Alice died. Also, I would like to find out about James' brother John and his wife Margaret who came to West Virginia in the early 1920's and may have only stayed for a few years. They are related to the Brown and Anderson families who also came to the area in the 1920's Alice had McDarmont relatives in West Virginia. Any information would be appreciated.
