Her father was William Grainger, a hatter. George Henry Grainger was a booklender and married his cousin Rebecca junior in 1874. Rebecca senior was born in 1835 and documented in the 1881 census as being from Cork. There seemed to be some inter - family marriages going on. Rebecca senior married William Mayhook, was widowed and married George Jaycock one year prior to her daughters marriage. I have some interesting certificates. It was definately spelt with an i. I haven't heard of any royalty or a scottish connection, but many Irish immigrants came to Scotland, my becky lived in London.
