Hi Group, I am a descendant of David Gose 1802-1873. Somewhere long ago a mistake was made on name of his first wife Nancy Jane HALE Gose 1809- 1839, NOT PERKINS that is listed. She is well documented. Marriage record Wythe Co, for David Gose and Nancy J. Hail daughter of William Hail and Lucy Stone of Grayson Co., VA. Also will of William Hail lists daug. Nancy Gose deceased wife of David Gose. Daivd's will lists their daughter Rosamond Hale Gose wife of Lewis Hale Perkins. Her cousin. There were 2 other Nancy Perkins all close kin but one was stepmother to Lewis H. Perkins and other was his and Rosamond H.Gose's daughter. So, I can understand how mistake was made. But after trip this summer to prove in documentation this is correct, Id appreciate you all making notes in file Nancy was a Hail/Hale not Perkins. Anyone needing copy of documentation I will share.
