I wasn't expecting to post an update today but ... the specialist is dismissing Kris from the hospital today. I am not totally happy, but that's they way they do it these days. She sounded good this morning but of course, after surgery is in pain and weak. She's still only on a liquid diet. The doctor said normally they send them home several hours after surgery; times have changed. It's an hour drive for them; getting papers ready and medications, etc. They have to return to the kidney specialist's office twice next week for 2 more dialysis treatments and training - tho the surgeon yesterday said she'd need 6 more appts. Kris is happy to go home but isn't sure herself she is ready. Bill will have lots of help locally from the church people anyway. I will be going over tomorrow morning sometime to give him a break and will likely spend the day. Totally surprised; they'd said Monday or so..... thankful but with a little concern. Sandi
