I do descend from Edward "Nettie" Cook, a Revolutionary War Soldier. His was white, but I know nothing about his ancestors. I descend from John Clark Gorham b.Abt. 1800 GA and he was white, but know nothing about his ancestors. In the early 1700s, a Gorham did own slaves in GA, but I think they are a different set of Gorham's. Wish I could help.
