I've "rescued" an old photograph of Miss Jessie ROWLEY of Pacheco, Contra Costa Co., California. The photograph was probably taken sometime in the 1870's with Jessie about 3 years old at the time it was taken. I am hoping to be able to return the photograph to a member of her family. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Jessie and her family: Jessie A. ROWLEY b. 25 Jan 1865 in Pacheco/Martinez, CA to parents Henry A. ROWLEY and Helen M. WICKWIRE (b. 11 Jul 1842). Jessie was just one of their 5 children including, Harriet L.; Nellie G.; Jessie A.; Frank H.; and Minnie E. ROWLEY all born between 1860 and 1876. ROWLEY, age 66, born Jun 1833, married 41 years, born NY, parents born VT/NY, a Watchmaker Helen ROWLEY, wife, age 57, born Jul 1842, married 41 years, 5 children/4 living, born IL, parents born OH/PA Jessie ROWLEY, dau, age 35, born Jan 1865, born CA Helen GORHAM, granddau, age 15, born May 1885, born CA, parents born MA/IL, at School Henry WICKWIRE, Father-in-law, age 83, born Aug 1816, a widower, born OH, parents born OH/PA I am hoping to find someone from this family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of her family.
